YCECDC wishes to position itself as an active and positive contributor to society by participating in the local community. YCECDC works closely, and in collaboration, with all academic staff, ensuring every opportunity for pre-service educators to participate in brainstorming, initiating, and implementing projects, ideas, and strategies for community improvement; especially in the area of early childhood.

YCECDC aims to collaborate, support, and work together with meaningful and relevant NGOs looking to improve lives of young children and care-givers.  With common goals and specialized resources such as the ‘Pamela Peck Discovery Space’ and pre-service practitioners, YCECDC may offer support in creative ways to these meaningful organizations.
