The Chinese version of The Yew Chung Approach to Early Childhood Education was officially released during the YCYW’s Inaugural International Education Symposium held in Shanghai on 1 March 2024.

Following its English version published by academic publisher Routledge and garnered worldwide attention in 2023, the Chinese version will help to spread a unique teaching method more widely in China and facilitate exchange in early childhood education. The Chinese version was translated by Chor Hang Educational Research Institute (CHERI), led by director Professor Ping Shi.

Author of the book Dr Stephanie Sanders-Smith, Yew Chung – Bernard Spodek Scholar in Early Childhood Education, Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction College of Education, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has delivered a lecture on the Yew Chung Approach in the symposium.  Participants were thrilled to have the opportunity to exchange views with Dr Sanders-Smith and get an autographed copy after the lecture.
