JumpStarter Series from Jockey Club 'CoolPlay' Project has not only won a Gold Medal in the 8th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN 2023, but also received the Top 20 Best Invention Award and a Special Award. 

iCAN is the world-recognized premier event of Canada for inventors. Since its debut in 2016, the main purpose of iCAN is to offer a unique platform to unite the creativity and innovation initiatives of Canadian inventors with the rest of the world by providing participants with the opportunity to expand their international network and business activities, as well as to promote their inventions, new products, and research projects.

JumpStarter is an innovative educational series designed to spark children’s interest in exploration in Hong Kong. Bridging home, school, and community, it comprises bilingual guides for parents and teachers, alongside children's storybooks. Each kit centres around one of eight "Big Ideas," such as materials and objects, plants, water, weather, animals, habitats, light and shadow, and force and motion. JumpStarter also incorporates elements of local culture for a more relatable learning experience. 

Employing a strategy that promotes accessibility yet encourages in-depth exploration, JumpStarter facilitates children’s learning journey from foundational to advanced understanding of new concepts. The series also challenges gender stereotypes through its mascot, Cowey, a female character portrayed as a curious problem-solver. The guides are designed to facilitate meaningful discussions, extend learning, and provide necessary resources, making learning concepts accessible to all.

This achievement is a testament to our commitment and hard work. We are grateful for the international recognition. These awards motivate us to continue our mission: to extend Exploratory Learning beyond the classroom, fostering curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving skills in everyday life.
