    • The 3-day "Learning and Teaching Expo" concluded successfully on 13 December 2024. Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education's booth proudly presented its Yew Chung Approach to Early Childhood Education and the innovative Pamela Peck Discovery Space. Our dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students engaged in meaningful academic dialogues with educators and professionals from the industry.

Professor Shi Ping delivered a captivating public talk on the Yew Chung Approach to Early Childhood Education during the Expo on 13 December 2024. The mini stage attracted numerous educators eager to explore the unique aspects of this approach compared to other pedagogies. By participating in the seminars and workshops, educators could accrue CPD hours at the Expo. Several students who took part in the event expressed that it provided them with valuable opportunities to network with industry experts and gain insights into the current and future trends in education.

In addition to showcasing the Yew Chung Approach to Early Childhood Education, the College actively participated in the Expo with the HKJC CoolPlay Project, generously supported by the Jockey Club Charity Trust. Over the course of three days, the project conducted seven engaging workshops, attracting near 80 participants. Dr Brad Chan Yu-wing, Assistant Professor of the College and Co-Director of the Project, emphasized, "This year's event has expanded, serving as a platform for industry professionals to exchange ideas and strengthen the teacher professional community. The HKJC CoolPlay Project not only drew interest from kindergartens but also from innovative suppliers, particularly those focusing on exploring learning and sustainability for young children, opening up new avenues for the future of early childhood education."

Under the theme "Shaping Education for a World of Change," this year's Learning and Teaching Expo marked its largest edition to date. The Expo brought together government officials, education experts, industry leaders, exhibitors, and educators from around the world, featuring over 330 prominent education experts from various regions. With a lineup of more than 290 keynote speeches, seminars, live demonstration lessons, and product showcases, the event provided a platform for valuable insights and enhanced teaching and learning expertise through close to 600 exhibition booths showcasing the latest global trends in education and innovative teaching resources.

YCCECE remains committed to actively engaging in industry educational exchanges. Stay tuned for more updates from the College!
