On March 15, 2024, YCCECE and Affiliated School of JNU For Hong Kong and Macao Students Foshan (ASJFS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, represented by YCCECE President Professor Allan Yuen and ASJFS Chief Principal Ms. Zhang Ye. Under the terms of the cooperation, outstanding graduates from ASJFS will have the opportunity to obtain study scholarship through the YCCECE’s “Principal Recognition Scheme”. YCCECE, in turn, will provide seminars and activities to ASJFS in various areas such as admissions, scholarship schemes, taster activities, and career introductions. This collaboration aims to facilitate the educational and professional development of students from both institutions. 

Chief Principal of ASJFS Ms. Zhang Ye reckoned that teacher training and student nurturing are equally important. She looked forward to more exchanges between the two institutions in future. She warmly welcomed teachers and students from YCCECE to visit Foshan for learning and cultural exchanges. 

 President Professor Allan Yuen highlighted three “First” by YCCECE. YCCECE is the first self-financed institution specialised in early childhood education in Hong Kong. Besides, it is the first self-financed institution in Hong Kong to offer undergraduate programs in early childhood education. In addition, it is the self-financed institution in Hong Kong to offer Certification Course for Kindergarten Principals. These milestones demonstrate YCCECE's commitment to pioneering and advancing early childhood education in the region. 

After the meeting, Professor Yuen, Vice President Dr Frank Lam, Vice President Professor Eric Cheng and leadership team accompanied the ASJFS delegation, Chief Principal Ms. Zhang Ye, Chief Inspector Mr. Martin Lai, Vice-Principal Mr. Yiu Yu Kei, and four teachers touring around campus and the living lab – Pamela Peck Discovery Space.
