    • Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education and Suzhou Early Childhood Education College established strategic cooperative relations in 2019 with the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement. To strengthen the cooperation, our Vice President, Dr. Frank Lam, and Mr. Kevin Han, Deputy Head of the Mainland Development Office, joined Suzhou Early Childhood Education College to visit Yew Chung International School (YCIS) Shanghai Puxi ECE (Ronghua) Campus and Yew Wah International Education Kindergarten (YWIEK) Shanghai Biyun on 17 October 2023. The delegation consisted of 12 experts and was led by Ms. Hongyu Cai, Director of the International Exchange Office of Suzhou Early Childhood Education College.

YCIS Shanghai Puxi ECE Superintendent Ms Gladys Au and YWIEK Shanghai Biyun School Supervisor Ms. Lijiao Xu welcomed the delegation and introduced the schools. The Suzhou Preschool delegation attentively observed and diligently recorded the sets, usage, and display of materials both indoors and outdoors.

The Suzhou Preschool delegation observed how Yew Chung's co-teachers and bilingual teaching model facilitate students' natural immersion in a diverse cultural environment. It lets students experience an enjoyable and interactive learning process besides free communication, which leads to the development of self-confidence in their own identity, language, and culture.

Later, the delegation engaged in a discussion with YCIS and YWIEK Shanghai managers, where they exchanged ideas on the proposition of the kindergartens, management concepts, environmental creation, and teaching methods. This provided an opportunity for both parties to share their teaching pedagogy and experiences, fostering a greater understanding of different educational concepts. It also served as a catalyst for the development of innovative approaches in early childhood education. This activity signifies another step in our ongoing strategic cooperation. Looking ahead, we anticipate even greater synergy and the emergence of new vitality in the field of early childhood education.
