    YCCECE and Sanda University Signed a Collaboration Agreement

    • On October 18th, YCCECE Vice President Dr Frank Lam, Assistant Professor and Acting Dean of Studies Dr Crystal Zheng, and the College’s Mainland Development Office Deputy Head Mr Kevin Han visited Shanghai Sanda University and started a new chapter for both parties.

       

      During the conference, Professor Pan Huibin, Vice President of Shanghai Sanda University, delivered a welcome speech. She said that Shanghai Sanda University is positioned to build a multidisciplinary, international, and high-level university of applied sciences. Since its establishment 30 years ago, the university has established inter-school cooperation and exchange relationships with more than 100 institutions in 23 countries and regions. She looks forward to the comprehensive and in-depth cooperation between the two schools to contribute to the construction of preschool education majors.

       

      Dr Frank Lam shared that Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education has been developed based on the culture, educational philosophy, research, and practice of Yew Chung for more than 90 years. It is the first private institution in Hong Kong and Asia specializing in early childhood education. Determined to cultivate more enthusiastic ECE educators who dare to innovate. Through this exchange and cooperation, he looks forward to providing teachers and students of both schools with richer academic resources and learning opportunities.

       

      In addition, Professor Cao Huiying, Dean of the School of Education of Shanghai Shanda University, introduced the background of the college, and Ms Pang Jianping, director of the Department of Preschool Education, introduced the professional development of preschool education.

       

      The two institutions signed a collaboration agreement on further cooperation in the future in areas including programme development, faculty and staff training and continuing education, student exchanges, scientific research, and internship and practicum.

       

      After the signing ceremony, the delegation also visited the laboratory and gained a deeper understanding of the school's practicum teaching.
